Erasing common mistakes while learning

The time for preparing for an exam is limited and therefore it is crucial to learn and study efficiently. You must learn for various subjects and thus focus is essential. The modules and subjects may differ heavily from each other which makes it even more important to keep focusing. Let’s check out three common mistakes that are often be made by apprentices and how you can avoid them:

Lack of focus

It is sometimes hard just focusing on one task or subject when you should learn several other topics too. You just started learning geography and immediately a thought catches your attention that you should also learn for the math exam. This can cause a repetitive cycle and eventually, you are frustrated that you did not manage to learn something efficiently. For getting rid of this focusing issue a time schedule should be prepared before the learning phase. This schedule should include periods of about one to two hours while which you are focusing on just one field. You are now able to focalize fully on geography because you know that there will be another timeslot for math for example. CATTS is providing here different options for preparing your final exam. The most important thing of this schedule is to stick to it. Only with discipline and perseverance you can erase this mistake.

Not knowing how to study

Another common mistake is not to know your best learning method. Learning to learning sounds weird but is indeed a requirement for learning efficiently. After a study session you should check whether you just learned something or not. Be honest with yourself and reflect if you effectively learned something. If you conclude that learning by yourself does not fit you, CATTS provide the perfect opportunity to get one-to-one tutoring.

Explaining

Many apprentices or students think that learning in groups is beneficial. It is indeed but we provide you an even better way. Start learning three to four months before your final exam takes place. Stop procrastinating and reserve every second day half an hour for studying. With that method you will be ready for the exam way before the actual exam. Your fellow apprentices may have started learning just some week ago and now it is your turn. Take their questions and try to answer them in a way that they understand it. This in return helps you to recall and repeat the stuff. You only have really understood a topic if you are able to explain it to someone who understands it then. This creates a Win-Win-Situation.

We now presented you three common mistakes when learning. There are many more mistakes which apprentices and students often make but those three are in our opinion the easiest adaptable. These mistakes are also common by our customers as we are in constant exchange with them for improving our offers. We also provided how to erase those mistakes by simple amendments. We hope now that the learning process will go smoother as before.
